Surface Rehab's 6" foam backing pad with a hook and loop face is the perfect style and density for both the grinding and polishing phases of glass restoration.  Unlike pads with a rigid, flat edge, our pad has a unique flex edge that helps prevent wheel marks and distortion due to uneven pressure on the pad.  The 5/8"-11 female threads make it compatible with most common polish and buffing machines.  We recommend dedicating one backing pad for grinding and one pad for polishing.  This allows you to lengthen the life of your felt polish pad by keeping it in place instead of repeatedly removing it off the hook and loop face.
